Dear Board Members of the Japanese Heart Failure Society and the JHFS Membership,
As the new Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Cardiac Failure, I and my journal leadership team (including Deputy Editor Anu Lala, MD) would like to share our commitment to enhancing partnerships with the Japanese Heart Failure Society and its members.
We feel privileged to work with Professor Koichiro Kinugawa and Professor Koichiro Kuwahara as our exceptional Associate Editors from Japan.
We would like to encourage clinical investigators in Japan to submit their original research and perspective pieces to JCF. We also welcome ideas on changes you would like to see at the journal.
We look forward to having a virtual “meet and greet” in the coming months to engage with the JHFS membership. We are hopeful to see many of you in-person at the annual HFSA meeting in September 2021 and potentially also at upcoming meetings in Japan.
It is an honor and joy for the JCF leadership team to serve the community of Japanese clinicians who focus on heart failure clinical care, research and education.
With your support and input, we are excited about the future of JCF and are committed to elevating the journal to new heights!
Sincerely,
Robert J. Mentz, MD, FACC, FAHA, FHFSA
Editor in Chief, Journal of Cardiac Failure
Associate Professor of Medicine
